oval Contra necklace

This stunning, one of a kind statement necklace features a large dendritic opal set in a custom made steel setting suspended from a bold steel chain.

This rare large stone is approximately 3" wide by 1 5/8" tall.

About the stone: Also known as dendritic agate, this striking stone features an opaque and translucent white base with subtle black inclusions that pop next to the distinctive steel setting.  The setting is open on the back to expose the depth and beauty of the stone on both sides.  You could even wear the stone backwards and no one would know!

Chain length: 19" long, but can be clasped shorter.

Need more length? Check out our chain extenders!

Caring for steel: Steel is a lightweight and durable metal that sets off the beauty of this stone.  Your necklace has been sealed to prevent rust, however, we recommend taking your necklace off (and storing it somewhere dry) before showering, swimming, or deep sea diving.

WOW

This past week I was stressed and frustrated at work and decided I needed a bit of retail therapy when I remembered your "not your birthday sale". I’ve been eyeing a necklace on your site for about a year and decided to purchase it. As soon as I hit the purchase button I felt a bit of guilt. I thought to myself I probably shouldn’t have done that, there are so many other things and needs that I could of spent that money on.
I want to let you know, that I received my necklace today. As I was unwrapping the box it came in, my husband said did you get an award. I reminded him that it was the necklace I ordered. As I opened it I still felt guilt for buying it. But as soon as I saw it in person, that guilt went away. It was more beautiful in person. The stone was gorgeously huge and more brilliant than I expected. I thought about my husband’s words, “did you get an award?”. Yes I did. An award to making it through a tough day, week, year, and a reminder that sometimes we are worth a bit of retail therapy and when we can support artists in the process it is a win win for all.
Thank you
